From our Newsletter 17 November 2017

Dear Parents and School Community,

Now instead of counting forward, I’m counting backwards to the end of term and the school year! Less than five weeks to go….

So, what’s happened in the last two weeks at the P&C? Well, tonight we’ve got the Disco firing up and I hope the costumed madness is fantastic.  A big “THANKYOU” to all the volunteers and amazing P&C members who make this event happen. We could not do it with-out them. As you would have seen from last newsletter the Fundraising Committee has secured two incredible prizes for the school raffle this year. Two $500 travel vouchers towards any trip you want at the McNally Travel. I love these sorts of raffles as the number of tickets sold means the chance of you winning is a lot higher! So look out for when they go on sale and buy your tickets…

We also had school banking on Friday mornings, second hand uniform shop, the Sushi day and ongoing canteen food prepared for all our hungry students. Planning for the disco (a huge effort!), the raffle and a multitude of other activities that carry on behind the scenes from our dedicated volunteers.

The school has started to provide parents whose children are starting Kindergarten or moving into Pre-primary in 2018 with information that will assist their understanding and smooth entry. I attended both the Puggles Night and Pre-primary to Year 1, 2018 Walk and Talk sessions. The Puggles night helped introduce the school to a full house of new Kindergarten parents.  It was a very informative evening, with 60+ children starting up in our kindergarten program in 2018.

I also loved the Walk and Talk sessions for parents to see how our children in Pre-primary will be changing their class next year. We were escorted through the school facilities and class rooms that our children will be moving to. This included meeting teachers and parents that are continuing this journey with my daughter into year 1.

It is a facet of our school and the dedicated staff, volunteers and parents that we all embrace good new ideas. I congratulate people that have the bravery to stand up and say “we can do this better” and then even more importantly, execute it with the help of the school community.

Well, out of space once again. As always, I would love to hear from parents about anything. I am particularly inviting you all to connect with me and give me your ideas on what you would like to see the P&C doing above and beyond our current activities! Especially passionate good initiatives that you want to see happen … so please drop me a note or call … and hopefully we can make it happen together!

I would like to ensure you all know about our next P&C meeting on the 28th of November at 18:30 in the school staffroom. Please come and join in on our meeting. We need more people to put their hands up and help us with everything we do around the school.

I can be contacted on 0439489387 or by email on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (NOTE: this email has changed from last term!).
